One of the most bizarre things to track down in a while, but this is what happened. We had a standard left-column navigation. An unrelated block was set with margin-top: -10px;. By changing that to position: relative; top: -10px;, things started working. Talk about a bizarre bug.

I think IE adds x3 to my work time. AT LEAST.

Yeah, IE doesn't like a _lot_ of negative formatting stuff. Total pain in the ass. I've had to completely rework a few of my more interesting layouts to get around IE bugs. That's not to say I had to drop the idea, but it's the type of thing where I had it working the easy way in moz, and IE ate shit all over it so I had to completely re-do it some hacked way to make it work. Sigh... IE...
