I spent a half hour extolling the virtues of Orson Scott Card's work to an avid non-reader of fiction. Life is fun.

Ender's game is easily the best SF book I ever read. But then I don't read a lot of SF.

I do, and it's probably the second-best. Speaker for the Dead is the best.

I agree. Although the poster below has a good point. Whoa Orson Scott Card. He seriously freaks me the hell out in the best way possible, woot.

Have you read "Ender's Shadow"? It's almost if not just as good, and even more of a tour de force in that it had to fit into the gaps in "Ender's Game".

Also excellent, though anything with less Petra isn't quite as good if yoou ask me.
