A tiny review: Zack’s so far favored DVD burner is a champ. Damn near silent when ripping, the door opens when you press the button and not two seconds later. It’s fast, it’s cheap, and it seems reliable.

I still don't know how I feel about your tactics for musical aquisition...

Which, duping every CD that comes in my door, and making MP3s of all the ones I own, too?

Well, I was talking about Zack's
excessive pirating, actually...
I just feel bad that most musicians
aren't getting paid for their work.
If they did, maybe musicians wouldn't
have to work at grocery stores and stuff.

There's not a chance that anyone I can't listen to their music is going to get much money out of me.

Of the five albums I bought last, four were because I'd heard something that I copied from a friend. . . and the fifth was buying something I had as MP3s that I didn't have a backup of.

I honestly don't think the so-called piracy hurts the artists much. I buy more music than I did before, not less.

Like I said, that comment was about Zack's piracy habits.
Meaning, his who knows how many hours of ripped music.
I respect music sampling, like you do,
especially since I don't care for radio or what they tend to play.
Have you -seen- Zack's room?

Heh. The difference between Zack and I is that the only CDs I have are legal. I haven't seen Zack's room, but I bet it looks like my hard drive...

What brand/model is it?

The NEC ND-3500AG. Highly favored by Anandtech in their tests.
