Three things I wish had been implemented in CSS much earlier if at all:
- An
underline-styleproperty. position: fixed;- XPath selectors
- And not technically CSS, but the
<object>tag, and CSS support for it.

Actually, I’m glad that they didn’t give underlines text-level legitimacy by providing control under that name; I with they’d gone further and nixed everything matching “underline” so people would use
borderconsistently. Keeping it on the graphic level – “attach such-and-such a line to this text” – seems wisest all around to me.objectwill smooth a lot of things.imgis stale.padding, then, so I can adjust the border distance.
